About Us

Hello, my name is Mimi Deck, although you may know me as “Daffy”. My husband, Mark, and I live in Madison, Mississippi. We have 3 grown children and 6 very GRANDchildren. I have been a Realtor® for the past 17 years. Sewing and digitizing has now become my full time job!

I started sewing when I was 8 yrs old when I cut up some of my Mom's good fabric to make doll clothes. My “punishment”, for such a terrible deed, was to learn to sew and make my brothers some pajamas (set-in sleeves, buttonholes, etc) To this day , I can't stand to make pajamas, but I did learn to sew! I bought my first embroidery machine when Brother came out with the PE-100 back in the early 90's and I have been in love with embroidery since then.

Three years ago, I started digitizing and my love for embroidery grew! Encouraged my by friends and family, in February of 2005, I opened my website www.daffydowndilly.com with my best friend Cheryl's help, and that is when I became “Daffy”. I am very pleased with the outcome of my website and have made so many good “cyber friends”. I digitize in PE Design, version 7. I love digitizing, especially children designs because they make me smile. My husband teases me because my inspirational music usually comes from Fisher-Price Little People's Songs and Games. . . daffy, huh?

Hi! I'm Maddy . . . my Nana calls me The Consumer Advisor. I am 3 yrs old and I help with choosing the designs and the names of the designs. I like my Nana's designs and my favorites are the Paper Dolls! I hope you shop with us often, so Nana can buy me lots of stuff!!!
